Ovorkhangai is an aimags (provinces) of Mongolia, located in the south of the country. Its capital is Arvaikheer.
Kharkhorin is known as the ancient city of Karakorum which is the capital of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century and of the Northern Yuan in the 14-15th century.
