Çanakkale (Troy)

Çanakkale Province is a province of Turkey, located in the northwestern part of the country.
Çanakkale (Chanakkale) is a city and seaport in Çanakkale Province, on the southern coast of the Dardanelles at their narrowest point.
Troy (Troia) was a city located in Çanakkale Province.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage site best known for being the focus of the Trojan War described in the Greek Epic Cycle and especially in the Iliad, one of the two epic poems attributed to Homer.
